Ashburn, Georgia — Local Hero: Sheriff Hester’s 250 wavy flag

Tim Saylor of Sycamore Woodworks thanked Sheriff Andy Hester and his department on another commissioned wavy wooden American flag — a 250th edition with a Betsy Ross–style star circle and “250” in the union. Thanks for the business and the service.

Andy Hester is Sheriff of Turner County, Georgia (Ashburn / Sycamore) — he has held office since December 2011. (A tip guess of Irwin County was incorrect; Irwin County’s sheriff is Cody Youghn.)

The “250” design fits America 250 — the Semiquincentennial of the United States in 2026.
