Dr. Sandra Lee — better known as Dr. Pimple Popper from her Lifetime reality series — revealed she suffered an ischemic stroke on Nov. 20, 2025 while filming, according to a People exclusive and her TODAY show interview (April 2026).

What she reported (public interviews):

Early signs she mistook for a hot flash or stress: sweaty, shaky, restless.
Later: shooting leg pains, trouble walking stairs, trouble sleeping.
Next morning: left-side weakness and speech trouble; ER MRI confirmed an ischemic stroke.
She described it to People as: a part of her brain died.
Filming paused about two months for physical and occupational therapy; she has returned to work focusing on stress, blood pressure, and cholesterol.
