Who we are

Any County News (ACN) is independent local media covering Georgia communities. We are not affiliated with law enforcement or any government agency.

How we source stories

Most of our public-safety and court stories come from official agency releases and public records: sheriff’s offices, police departments, courts, the Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI), and other agencies. We link the sources on each story page so you can check them yourself.

Arrests and booking photos

• An arrest or a charge is an accusation, not a conviction. Everyone is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in court.
• A booking photo means a person was arrested. It does not mean they were convicted of anything.
• We never charge anyone to remove a booking photo or to keep one from being published, consistent with Georgia law (O.C.G.A. § 35-1-19). Georgia law on free removal of booking photos on request (O.C.G.A. § 10-1-393.5) also applies; to ask about a booking photo, email danny@anycountynews.com with the story link.

If charges are dropped or you are acquitted

If charges in a story we published were dropped or dismissed, or you were found not guilty, send us documentation (for example, a dismissal order or court disposition) and a link to the story at danny@anycountynews.com. We will review it and update the story.

Corrections

We work to get every fact right. When we get something wrong, we fix it and add a note to the story saying what was corrected.

To request a correction, email danny@anycountynews.com and include:

• the link to the story,
• what is wrong, and
• any documents or sources that show the correct information.

Photos and AI

We do not use AI-generated images in news stories. Our brand promo video uses an AI-generated presenter, and it is labeled “Made with AI.”
