Ocilla, Georgia — Irwin FFA builds cardboard livestock models
Irwin County Animal Production students took wholesale and retail meat cuts — and livestock external anatomy — from the textbook to the workbench. Using cardboard and a lot of creativity, Irwin FFA members built standing livestock models and mapped the cuts in bright color-coded sections.
They showcased the projects while Agricultural Education future student teachers from Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College (ABAC) visited the agricultural program. Hands-on ag education in Ocilla — mapped out one cardboard model at a time. Coverage is group-only — no individual minor students named.
