Tifton, Georgia — New Multi-Purpose Pavilion opens at TCHS

Credit: Danny / Any County News · Verified Tift Schools / Gazette / contractors

Tift County High School celebrated the official opening of its new Multi-Purpose Pavilion with a ribbon-cutting on campus. The covered turf facility is flexible space for instruction, practices, training, and performances — rain or shine.

District and athletics posts have already shown the pavilion in use by programs including the Blue Devil Brigade and cross country when outdoor weather forced workouts under cover. School leaders thanked the Board of Education, community partners, and contractors.

Parrish Construction Group joined the March 2026 groundbreaking. Sports Turf Company installed the multi-purpose synthetic turf under the covered structure. The Tifton Gazette reported in July 2026 that the high school had recently added the athletic pavilion as part of ongoing facility investments. A separate athletic field-house package is also moving forward — this story covers the pavilion opening only. No pavilion dollar amount is stated in the opening materials reviewed here.

Verified from Tift County Schools / athletics public posts (#4theT), the Tifton Gazette (July 30, 2026), Parrish Construction, and Sports Turf Company. Ceremony framing from the mid-September 2026 ribbon-cutting tip (~Sept. 15–16, 2026 ET).
