What officials have said

The GBI says 2 people were killed and 35 others were injured, with conditions ranging from stable to critical.
Dooly County Sheriff Craig Peavy said at a GBI news conference that the shooting happened at approximately 1:25 a.m. Sunday at a block party near the 900 block of Pine Street, and that the victims range from 14 to 51 years old.
GBI Director Chris Hosey said the GBI has activated six investigative work units. “I don’t anticipate any threats to the public at this time,” Hosey said.
Crisp Regional Hospital in Cordele said 26 patients associated with the event had come to its emergency department as of 2 p.m. Sunday. That is the hospital's own count.
The GBI says no arrests have been announced, and the investigation is active and ongoing.
